The Downsides
There are downsides to using our service since it isn't the same as having a full-time DBA.
This section covers things you need to consider regarding what we
cannot or do not do. Here we attempt to set your expectations
realistically.
- If a problem arises, we may not be able to service it
immediately since you are sharing our personnel with other
subscribers. This has never happened in over
four years of active service, but it is a possibility.
- You could incur additional expenses if a server-down
situation occurs and we have to exceed your monthly pool of
consulting hours to bring the system back up. This has never happened
in over four years of active service but it is a possibility.
